#BREAKING#EXCLUSIVE Hong Kong's justice minister has ordered a non-jury trial for the city's largest national security case to date in which 47 pro-democracy politicians face up to life in prison, citing "foreign elements" as a reason, according to documents seen by @AFP.
In June 2022, the UN High Commissioner said the report on China’s crimes against humanity in Xinjiang, China would be released before her term ends.
She will step down by 31 August, and the report has yet to be released.
These numbers strongly suggest that the presumption of innocence is now an empty slogan in #HongKong. No nauseating song from the HK Law Society about how supposedly strong the rule of law is can hide the much darker and shameful reality.
