Dr. @MamtiminAla & I published an article in @ForeignPolicy explaining the history of Chinese colonization and root of China's ongoing genocide of Uyghurs/Turkic peoples in East Turkistan. Restoring East Turkistan’s independence is only way forward. foreignpolicy.com/2021/08/11…

TikTok is in the grip of the Chinese Communist Party. If your kids are on it, the Chinese government likely has their social security number, privacy data, their pictures, and more. Make no mistake, China is using and will use this private information against the American people.

The freedoms, human rights, and very existence of of Uyghurs/Turkic peoples in East Turkistan can’t be protected so long as Chinese occupation forces continue the brutal colonization, genocide, and occupation. Restoring East Turkistan’s independence is the only solution for us.

It’s tragic to see many countries are ultimately exchanging their sovereignty for the “sweet words and gifts” of Beijing. Either they don’t realize they will become China’s next “Xinjiang (new colony)” in the coming decades or they wish to return to being colonized and enslaved.
Zimbabwe’s parliament just got a new home and it’s a gift from Beijing; China built the US$160 million complex. It’s just one of many jewels in China’s ‘palace diplomacy’ crown in Africa, there are reported to be more than 180 such projects. Here are some others:🧵

As much as I am grateful for America and the freedom and opportunity it has given me and my family my soul is stuck in East Turkistan….longing to reconnect with my body. When I first came to the U.S. 22 years ago, for an entire month I would pack up my suitcase and try to leave.

My parents would walk me around take me to a store and buy me candy telling me “tommorow.” This continued every day for a month. As an adult I’m being told the same thing…give it time … “tommorow”, “one day” you will return. That tommorow is taking forever to come…

My nation is being slaughtered and wiped out as I and the rest of the world watch from the distance, not able to do anything to stop it. I would gladly trade my emotional pain I face daily because of my homeland for the physical pain that my nation faces daily in my homeland.

China is clear adversary to @NATO and the int’l rules based order. The fact that it’s not being directly challenged is only emolding the Chinese Empire. There at least needs to be an asymmetrical push to prevent the PRC from becoming a global nightmare. english.kyodonews.net/news/2…

Simply being an East Turkistani / Uyghur is deemed as a crime by the fascist racist Chinese communist state and its occupation forces. The world needs to understand that Uyghurs are NOT “separatists,” they are an invaded/occupied people. amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2…

There needs to be an collective security body, like @NATO, that focuses on protecting nations / peoples in Central Asia and the Indo-Pacific region from the existential threat that People’s Republic of China and its Communist Party poses. politico.eu/article/nato-uni…
