Scholz also stated that China should not be isolated, a comment that I in principle agree with. He believes the nation should be embedded in a multilateral and rule-based global order. Here, he holds onto an illusion as China is seeking to establish an alternative order.

Exactly, that tired charade about encouraging China to make a positive contribution to global issues. Scholz is an improvement over Merkel... But not quite there yet
