It went from “do you want granny to die?” to “the unvaccinated deserve to die!” so seamlessly, those spewing the intolerance and hatred didn’t even notice their monstrous transformation.

This didn't change anyone/anything it just sped up n revealed existing patterns n behaviors. It tore the thin veneer of polite society off n exposed it for what it really was. We deserve all that we get, we took it all for granted. Too bad build back better is taken, we need to.

Jordan Peterson talked about this in reference to cancel culture in 2016. Its a product of excessive agreeableness. Agreeableness is a kind of matronly instinct that divides the world into babies to be protected and snakes to be stomped. It can lead to kindness or hostility.

I listened to a speaker, Irwin Roth, a Holocaust survivor two years ago, He called this the stepping stones to Auschwitz and warned us to open our eyes and ears. I can’t imagine what he would say now.
